Striated Muscle (Primate & Rat)

Striated Muscle (Primate) & Striated Muscle (Rat) Indirect Immunofluorescence Assays (IFA) using primate striated muscle tissue substrate are in vitro diagnostic tests intended for the qualitative detection of autoantibodies directed against striated muscle components in human serum or plasma.

The presence of striated muscle autoantibodies may support the diagnosis of autoimmune myopathies, including myasthenia gravis. Test results must be interpreted in conjunction with the patient’s clinical findings and other laboratory tests.
